InfraCharge has installed their first combined DC Hypercharger with integrated battery storage in the city of Oslo, Norway. The charger is placed in cooperation with the City of Oslo (Oslo Kommune Bymiljøetaten - BYM) and will mainly serve Electric Taxis and other professional Electric Vehicles like electric VAN's and smaller electric trucks
The charger module is based on a moveable 20 feet skid module with 4 x 150kW charger outlets and 300kWh of integrated battery storage with 300 kW inverters.
This allows installation of high speed DC charging in areas with limited grid capacity.
At this location, the integrated battery storage system (BESS) is also connected to the local grid as a flexibility service node. This means the battery can serve the local grid with frequency/balancing services when needed.
